Oliver Purcell, Ph.D.

Cell-Sim Principal Scientist

Oliver Purcell, PhD, is a computational systems biologist and bioinformatician specializing in precision oncology and neurodegeneration. He is a Principal Scientist at Deep Origin, where he leads the Cellular Simulations team developing large-scale dynamical and network models to discover novel therapeutic targets and elucidate mechanisms of action. Previously, he advanced target prediction approaches at Engine Biosciences and conducted postdoctoral research at MIT’s Synthetic Biology Center. He holds a PhD in Complexity Science from the University of Bristol and MSc/BS degrees in Bioinformatics and Molecular Biology from the University of Manchester.
