Jignesh Parmar is a computational biologist and Senior Scientist at Deep Origin, a drug discovery biotechnology company. He specializes in systems biology and mechanistic modeling, with particular expertise in mechanistic models of mammalian signaling pathways, physiology-based kinetic models of human and mouse iron metabolism, and the pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) of iron therapeutics. Previously, He worked at United Therapeutics and held postdoctoral research positions at UConn Health and Virginia Tech, where he developed quantitative models to address a range of biomedical challenges, including pulmonary arterial hypertension, pulmonary fibrosis, iron homeostasis, breast cancer drug response, and microbial metal kinetics. He holds a Ph.D. in Systems Biology from IIT Bombay and a Master degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He also completed diploma certification training in AI/ML applications at Texas McCombs.
